The following Chancellor’s Innovation Fund projects for 2014-2015 have been selected to receive funding. The 21 winning proposals below were selected from a total of 37 submissions from 21 different VCCS colleges. Unfortunately, due to limited funding, many worthy projects did not receive awards.

The purpose of the Chancellor’s Innovation Fund (CIF) is to support innovative projects that closely align with the goals of Achieve 2015, especially the goals of increasing student access to and success in postsecondary education and training, the new draft strategic plan, Complete 2021,  and the missions of individual VCCS colleges.

Application Materials

CIF 2014-15 | Call for Proposals 

The Request for Proposals provides an outline of the goals of the CIF grant, the required and recommended proposal components, guidelines for the use of CIF funds, reporting and assessment requirements, and intellectual property licensing information. Please read the RFP carefully before submitting your proposal.

Each CIF proposal needs to be accompanied by a completed budget plan. Please download, complete, and save the  CIF Budget Form and upload it with your CIF Online Application.

Each CIF proposal needs a completed Assessment Plan. Please download, complete, and save the CIF Assessment Plan form and upload it with your CIF Online Application.

CIF 2014-15 | Online Application (URL)

All 2014-15 CIF proposals should be submitted electronically using the CIF Online Application. Since the Online Application doesn’t allow applicants to save and return to an unfinished online proposal or submit an incomplete proposal, it is recommended that applicants draft and save proposals in MS Word before entering the information in the online app. The submission deadline is October 10th, 2014, by 11:59 p.m.

Other materials

Applicants also need to prepare other application materials that support their CIF proposals:

  • A signed letter of support from the President of each participating college
  • Letters of support from any business, workforce, or community partners
