Page Durham wins tickets to InstructureCon 2019

It’s a fact that change is rarely easy. The transition to Canvas has resulted in mixed emotions for many. As usherers of change, members of the eLET Committee have come up with some fun and creative ways to engage faculty and to quite simply make this transition as enjoyable as possible.

Page Durham, instructional designer at Germanna Community College and eLET Chair-elect, did just that. She decided to create a video to remind faculty that Canvas is coming. Using the tune of Santa Clause is Coming to Town, she created a lovely jingle to entertain her folks.

Wasn’t that great!? Well, the parent company of Canvas – Instructure – thought it was. While attending an eLET meeting at Southside Virginia Community College, she posted the video to Twitter and all of a sudden there was a yelp.

Page announced that she had been gifted free passes to InstructureCon 2019! InstructureCon is the premier Canvas conference. It is being held in Long Beach this year and is valued at $795 per participant (not including travel and accommodations).
