Creator: Christy Lee, MSAH, Instructional Technologist, Mountain Empire Community College

HEIF/HEIC images are easy for students to create using an Apple device.  However, they cannot be opened in the Canvas preview screen or in Windows. JPG images are universal and can be opened on any device. Here’s how to help your students convert HEIF images to JPG. Simple open https://HEICtoJPG.com. Drop your file into that screen and it will convert your file into a JPG file. Your students can now upload the JPG file and submit it into their Canvas assignment. Watch this video to see how Christy does the conversion.
