Getting Started: Ensure your public-facing materials are accessible (Check with your own college for checklists and templates.)

- Subject line is clear and descriptive
 - Links use descriptive text (not “click here”)
 - Images have alt text or are marked decorative
 - Accessibility Checker shows no errors
 - Email signature has alt text for logos
 
✅ Before You Share a Document:
- Ran Accessibility Checker and fixed all errors
 - All images have descriptive alt text
 - Used proper heading styles (not just bold text)
 - Tables have header rows identified
 - Color contrast meets 4.5:1 minimum
 - Links are descriptive
 
✅ Before You Create/Share a PDF:
- Created from an accessible source (not scanned)
 - Checked with PAVE or Adobe Acrobat Pro or other software
 - Document properties include title and language
 - All images tagged with alt text
 - Reading order is logical
 
✅ Before You Post a Video:
- Accurate captions added (not auto-generated only)
 - Transcript provided and easy to find
 - Audio description added if needed
 - Video player is keyboard accessible
 
✅ Weekly Accessibility Habits:
- Review one template or frequently-used document
 - Test one webpage with keyboard-only navigation
 - Share one accessibility tip with a colleague
 - Check one color combination with WebAIM checker
 
✅ Monthly Accessibility Goals:
- Audit templates and forms
 - Fix at least 3 inaccessible documents
 - Attend or request accessibility training
 - Review team processes for accessibility integration
